10 things to do

Bored? There is heaps to do in Penrith – it just takes some good ideas, imagination and enthusiasm

  1. Check out the Penrith Valley information website- it has lots of up to date info on what is going on in Penrith, with loads of ideas of what to do!                    

  2. Check out your local youth centre and find out what’s on. Band nights, sports days and heaps of other things to do. Look at the service directory on this website.

  3. Check out Council’s skatepark at Jamison Park, York Rd Penrith

  4. Find out what else in happening around Sydney. Check out the Office of Children & Young People

  5. Organise a movie day at home. Pull out your favourite DVD’s or videos and invite your friends over – make sure they bring  plenty of munchies.

  6. Been in the bad books with your parents or family? Why not make them a special dinner and don’t forget to do the washing up!

  7. Check out the history of your local suburb – it may be more interesting then you think.

  8. Read the local paper for information on what’s happening in your local area.

  9. Visit, call or email someone you haven’t been in contact for a while. Maybe it’s your grandparents, an old aunty or someone you just haven’t spoken to for a while.

  10. Start a list of things you would like to do in the next year- or at least next weekend!
