Wanting to get together on the weekends for some jamming and fun is what inspired the guys to start For Intentions, a local Penrith punk band. Starting in late 2003, the guys got together using their school's hall for jam sessions. The guys, Aidan, Morgan, Jordan and Zac quickly built a strong bond in friendship and in music. Starting off with a few covers, the band quickly decided they needed to start writing their own material.
With varied influences ranging from Thrice to Metallica to Blink 182, the band set off to create their own blend of alternative punk, focusing on the energy of rock. After a few songs had been written, and a few gigs played, the band decided they needed some direction. After deciding to work towards releasing an EP to showcase some of their music, the band worked hard for a year to produce tracks to go on the album. The band put down a 6 track EP on the 18th and 19th of April 2005, titled 'Think Again.' Two of the tracks, "Decision Pending" and "Fall" are available in the streaming music section of their official site www.myspace.com/forintentions.
In 2006 the band has a new bass player (Lachlan) and a vision to focus on putting together a strong set of originals that are both innovative and pleasing to one's ear. Not only purely pop punk, these songs borrow from a variety of genres but still hold true to For Intentions sound. Having recently played a number of shows around the Penrith and St Mary’s area, including a support slot with Sunk Loto, For Intentions hopes to promote and play shows all around the Sydney area.

Hailing from Penrith, Van Fearior began playing in early 2005 just jamming around to some covers and what not. We began to write our own material and with each member bringing a variety of influences from Led Zeppelin to Metallica to Trivium we began to create our own unique blend of Metal and Rock, consisting of screaming guitar solos, heavy riffs and driving beats.
Looking into the future we will be releasing our long awaited Skyward Chase EP soon and playing the local circuit, bringing our own sound to the people. Hope to see you at the shows.

Band: Warsaw Uprising
Vocals: Seann Osborn
Bass: Tom Masters
Guitar: Cameron Rout
Drums: Jake Gallagher
Warsaw Uprising are a young band from the Penrith area. They draw inspiration from the famous protest musicians of the 1960s and the unfaltering bravery of the members of the historical event which bears their namesake. Staunchly anti-violent in message, the band have won praise for their wild live shows, smashing guitars, screaming and generally scaring their audiences on several occasions.
Through this they have thrashed their way into the consciousness of the Western Sydney and Penrith underground scene. Through music they search for a way to unite the masses and move them towards the common goal of unity within society. Their debut recording "Shrapnel is Making Music" has incited local interest as well as earning them gigs at the superdome and other prestigious venues. With a unique sound and a message they hope that eventually, they will make a difference.

Olivine, a 3 piece band from the lower Blue Mountains, play what could be described as alternative rock with elements of hard rock and jazz, and layers of lush vocal harmonies. With influences as vast as Incubus, Cog, Jeff Buckley, Muse, George and A Perfect Circle, many various genres are fused into a unique sound.
Grant, Linden and Rob, the three members of Olivine recently recorded their upcoming debut self-titled 7 track EP, which will be released in August 2006. This EP features songs written over the last year, including crowd favourites ‘Blueprint’ and ‘Words and Fire’.
Olivine have played many gigs throughout the greater Sydney area in the last 2 years, including winning the Blue Mountains Youthweek Band Competition and performing at the Kayaking World Cup Opening Ceremony. Because of Olivine’s wide range of influences they are capable of playing a hard rock show of originals, but also slowing it down and playing laid back soft-rock and jazz covers when required.
